Bye Bye Basketball Belly!

I have really been lacking on my blog for a while because either A) I have been going into hibernation mode between the hours of 12:00pm to about 7:00pm almost everyday and I'm in bed 9:00pm to 9:00am. So that leaves me about five hours during the day to get stuff done, and blogging just hasn't been on the top of the list. OR B) My stomach can no longer sit longer than ten minutes in an upright position without me having take a break to catch my breath. (I can thank little Quinny for that one). So here I am updating this blog finally!
So I am now 39 weeks pregnant, and the past couple weeks have been the longest weeks of my life! Last Tuesday I was enjoying a day with my mom while Hadley was at work, and I was having lower back pains, so my mom and I thought I was having pre labor pains.. no no.. after trying a hot bath, bouncing on an exercise ball, and back rubs, I woke up from a nap ran to the bathroom and threw up the healthiest meal I have had my entire pregnancy, and fell to my knees with the most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my side. I ended up at the hospital where I'll be delivering, and after hours of what seemed like nurses coming in and out of the room to check on me, they finally did an ultrasound, and figured out I had kidney stones! The doctor came in and talked about inducing me, but then explained that they don't like to do that with your first until you are at least 39 weeks, and I was 38. So they sent me home with an achy kidney and no baby.
So here I am now, a week later still aching with kidney pains and a HUGE belly. But it's about to come to an end :) . . . well the HUGE belly part. I'm going to be induced this Thursday if Quinn doesn't come by then. I cannot express how crazy my emotions are at this point. Hadley and I are so excited to be starting a family together. I can't wait to snuggle my little boy and kiss his sweet face!
So the next time I blog I will have lots of pictures of my little buddy to show off!

3/4 of the way!!!

We have come up with a name!!! We are going to name him Quinn Don Deveraux. It's such a relief to have the name picked out! I am now 30 weeks pregnant! I will be 7 months this upcoming Sunday. I can't believe that it's almost here, I'm going to be a mom! It's so exciting to think about, but honestly I'm terrified for the birth. Hadley and I have been taking our prenatal baby classes at the hospital for a couple weeks now. I've learned a lot, and it makes me anxious knowing that this is all just around the corner. It's been fun to be pregnant, and feel him move inside my belly, but I'm so ready to meet the little guy already! I feel like I have had a great pregnancy so far (beside the normal throwing up the first few weeks), but it is now taking a toll on my body. Here is a list that has changed with my body that past couple weeks...
1. I can no longer see my toes when I stand up straight, nor can I paint my own toenails
2. Sitting forward or bending over cuts off all my air supply...
3. Heartburn is eating my insides
4. I have to make grunting noised to get up off my bed or couches
5. I get Braxton Hicks hourly
6. I would rather sleep then eat..
7. My stomach bounces when I laugh
8. I get kicked by the baby numerous times a day <--my favorite :)
9. My legs look like the Michelin Tires mascots legs.. oh wait, my whole body does..
10. I get crazy nervous when I don't feel the baby move for a couple hours

July 4th

Wow two blog posts in one day!!! I think I'm doing pretty good at catching up! For the Fourth of July we had a bbq at my parents house with the my family, Aunt LeAnne, Uncle Tim, and most of their kids and their kids! It was fun seeing my cousins and their kids and how big they are getting. I kept picturing Hadley and myself having a ten month year old baby in a year playing with all of his cute cousins. I also consumed around 10 pounds of food at the bbq, which satisfied the baby and of course my stomach. I wish I would have gotten pictures of the bbq, but I was too busy trying to keep cool in the 100 degree weather!
After the bbq my family (besides Sarah, Kyle, and Bo... and obviously Mitchell) went to a Salt Lake Bees game. We sat out on the grass so we could lay on blankets and watch fireworks afterwards. You may not all know this, but Father Brian is a sucker for concession stands. He bought cotton candy, sugar coated almonds, popcorn, shaved ice, and some drinks. Each time he would go on a "walk" he would bring another treat or two back with him. After the Bees lost by one run, they let whoever wanted to go out on outfields grass to watch the fireworks. They had quite the show with what seemed like many finales. Our night ended with us being pelted by the ashes and cardboard from the fireworks, such an eventful day!

Lake Powell = Paradise

I have neglected my blog for almost two months now, and I told myself I would post at least once every couple weeks when I started this thing. So here I am now going to catch up on the last  month. In June my family did their annual Lake Powell vacation for a week. We had great weather the entire time which made the trip that much more enjoyable. Since I was 6 months pregnant at the time I had to eliminate myself from wakeboarding, tubing, cliff jumping, etc. But I can honestly say it was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever had. It was so nice to float around in the water feeling like I weighed two pounds! With Lake Powell, comes water balloon fights. Nick and Hadley spent hours filling up 400+ water balloons. And yes I have proof...

Watching balloons nail siblings left and right, launching balloons at siblings in kayaks, watching Hadley and Amanda's faces when they each broke a vent on the houseboat, and the best, seeing Hadley's reaction when he nailed Father Brian in the face with a balloon. With all those things I laughed so hard I could have had the baby if I was further along...
Lake Powell will always be one of my favorite destinations for vacationing, and I'm so glad I have such a fun family to travel with!

Family Time!!!

On Sunday my family got together to celebrate my birthday and to Skype Mitchell from Taiwan. We had a yummy bbq with lots of food, including delicious watermelon I couldn't keep from shoveling in my mouth. Me and little mister were quite satisfied with the dinner, then to top it off my mom made my favorite.... asphalt pie topped with Grandma D's hot fudge! (Which is much better than Winger's asphalt pie :) ).

Once I was done blowing out my candles, Bo was very intrigued by the fire so Hadley lit a candle back up a few times to let Bowie blow them out... As you can see in this picture Bo more made a long "FFFFFF" noise rather then a blow. It was hilarious watching him try to blow out the candle. But he did it!

After we finished dinner and dessert Mitchell FINALLY called to tell us he was online to Skype. It was so much fun to see him and be able to talk to him. We each got a few minutes to tell him what was going on and ask him a few questions. I got to show him my belly bump, and he got to see how big Bo and Addie have gotten. Bo kept coming back to talk to Mitch and sing him batman and spiderman songs, and to tell him jokes. It was so cute! I can't wait to talk to him again :)

And a few more pics...

BANANA!!!

I can no longer call my little guy a nugget, he is now the length of a banana! I am officially 20 weeks pregnant, I can't believe I'm already halfway done. It's been a fun experience so far and I'm sure these next 20 weeks get even more fun ;) Me and had listened to the heartbeat yesterday morning, which is always a neat experience. I go in for my "official" gender ultrasound May 9th, I can't wait to see our little man again. I've had no more morning sickness, and have been feeling really good and look like I've been eating at buffets  three times a day for the past month. My pre pregnancy clothes are snug on me, and I can no longer button my jeans. The other day at work I was reaching up hanging something on the whiteboard and a little girl saw that I had a hair elastic through button hole and around my button, and asked why the heck my pants were like that. I'm just waiting for the day when she comes to school with the same "fashion trend" haha.
It's been so fun to collect little baby items for our little guy and to buy outfits for him. And he is spoiled already by his grandmas. Everytime I go over to my moms it seems like she has something new for him. I love all the joy he has already brought Hadley and I!

Besides my pregnancy, I've been working hard to finish my associates at SLCC. This week will be my last week of this semester (finals... yuck). Then I start summer semester a week later. I'm just crossing my fingers I will pass all my classes with all the stuff Had and I have planned for the summer. Hadley is still working hard at his job and enjoys his days off work. He's been busy helping his parents remodel their house, which has given me lots of time to study and catch up on my DVR'd shows ;)

Tulip Festival

Yesterday I went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point with my mom, Sarah, Bo, and Addie. The flowers there are so pretty! We had a lot of fun walking around and enjoying the warm weather. Bo had a blast running around the flower beds (and in the flower beds) and engorging himself with popcorn. And Addie was so good (as always) and loved having her picture taken.

Sarah and Bowie

Mushy kisses!

Bo kept pinching her nose

They lost interest with the camera really fast

Love this one of Addie!

Loved these flowers :)

I had to bribe him with a fruit roll up to smile and he gave me this cute little cheeser
