Heartbeat!

This morning after waking up, I realized I haven't tried to hear the babies heartbeat (on the doppler Amanda let me borrow when we found out I was pregnant) for a couple weeks. When I used it a couple weeks ago I  still couldn't find the heartbeat and it was really frustrating me. So today I whipped it out and the first few seconds I had it to my belly I heard the heartbeat!!!! I started bawling tears of joy because it was so amazing to hear my babies heartbeat. It was funny, because each time I would find the heartbeat it would beat for about five seconds then the baby would move and I would have to try to find it again, like it was playing hide-n-seek from me. I was able to record some of it! . .

Did You Have Your Baby Yet???

I'm now barely into my second trimester! Today was the first day I thought to myself "I am looking very pregnant!" I'm starting to feel a lot better and a little more energetic. My jeans are starting to get snug on me, and all I want to wear is sweat pants and a baggy shirt and eat ice cream. Poor Hadley probably feels like he is living with a homeless person most nights. We have recently been looking at cribs and strollers, because we want to buy things along the way so it's not a huge bill in the end. It's a good thing I don't know the gender yet, or I would have probably drained my bank account to the last penny, just buying clothes and any gender related thing I come across.
The other day at work this second grader asked if I had my baby yet. It's so funny to see how little kids react to pregnancy. They have the most wide range of imagination, that what they think about pregnancy, is what they know about it. Another little boy told me that I'm having an angry bird, not an actual baby (possible?). I love all of the funny things I have heard from them about being pregnant and the baby in my belly. But I know one day I will get the comments from people that I don't really find amusing and funny (thanks to sisters and friends, I'm preparing for these comments)!

We finally played in the snow! I have been wanting to go sledding or build a snowman this winter, but A- there has been no snow and B- I hate snow... My sister-in-law and I bought some groupons for Soldier Hollow tubing hill in Midway. After two months of having them we finally decided to go out and use them. Although the it the snow was kind of slushy and we couldn't make it down the hill due to this crappy snow, it was still a lot of fun to spend time with Had's brother, his wife, and kids!!! And on top of that, afterwords we went to the Train Station to get dinner after! (If you have never eaten their, you are missing out!)

Cinnamon Toast & Slurpees = HEAVEN!

I am now 11 weeks! Hurray! This week has already been very eventful. To start the week off . . . Sarah was trimming my hair at my parents house when all of the sudden I started to feel light headed (like you do when you stand up too fast), so I figured it would go away, because that happens to me quite frequently. The next thing I knew my sisters and dad were standing around me asking if I was okay! I passed out! Luckily I didn't fall over onto Sarah, because I would have crushed her tiny body. My body was numb and my ears sounded like they had rattles in them! Such a weird feeling, I have never passed out like that before. So since that I've been making sure I eat little snacks throughout the day. My cravings this week that I can't get enough of are.. cinnamon toast and slurpees! I cannot go a day without popping into a 711 and getting myself a slurpee! I know there is three feet of snow outside, but I can't resist the yumminess of that drink! I feel a little out of place when I go to check out at the register with my slurpee and everyone else has coffee or hot chocolate in there hands. Oh the looks I have gotten... ha ha. Anyways, I have still been VERY tired every minute of the day. When I'm at work on my last hour with the kindergartners, I always find myself thinking about sneaking off under their coat rack to shut my eyes for a few minutes. I can't wait to get my energy back, they say in the second trimester you feel more energetic, which will be two weeks from tomorrow! All of this tiredness, nausea, passing out, and whatever else my body goes through will all be worth it once I get to hold the little thing! In about 8 weeks we should find out what we are having! A lot of people are still saying girl, but I'm sticking to a boy. My nephew was at my house the other day and looked at the ultrasound of the baby, and said it looks like a boy head. So he convinced me even more it's a boy!!
